Good Moring Blog Buddies. I Went to my History teacher's blog and decided for you to see what everyone wrote :8: This is gonna be such a long post cause like 14 people from my class commented. Are you ready? Lets get started with Emily's.
:42:
From Emily: I know that French people only wanted the Roman Catholic religon in New France. I also know that the expectations of women were that they were to become nuns, wives or mothers. The women were also expected to take care of their children and the house. New France also had people called the protestants who were people who did not agree with some or all of the laws of New France, protestants were not allowed to hold positions under the crown also that they were not allowed to teach or settle in french colonies. In my opinion if I was a person back then in New France I would be a protestant because I do not agree with most of the laws in New France, espically the law about having to be a Roman Catholic I think people should be allowed to be in whatever religon they would like to be in but that’s just my opinion. My Opinion: Hi Emmy! Not to shabby, At least you got off your butt and compiled some real information and made a good paragraph. 10/10!! Go Emily!
So far- Emily is in the lead. Now it's time for Esma. Let's see if she tie Emmy or do better.
:42:
From Esma: I know that the king of New France passed out a law that only Roman Catholics could settle in New France. I also know that Jaques Cartier was sent on a voyage of exploration and there were 2 things he had to do and they were to find precious gems and metals to make the French rich and the second mission was that he had to find a shipping route to the Orient to allow French traders to inmport fine products to Europe. I also know that Samuel de Champlain had established millitary alliences with the Huron people. I know about the children that grew up in New France and how it was really difficult for them because they had to help their parents crop and very much more. I also know that the nuns and priests played an important role in the Church. My Opinion: Ezzie, Fabulous Job! At least you got off your butt too. 10/10!! Yay Esma!
Now- Ezzie and Emmy are officially tied for first place. Let's see if Alex can top this.

From Alex: Before studying New France this year I had a poor understanding of New France. A few things I had learned this year were, one, about a man named Jacques Cartier who was sent out by the King of France to find a shipping route to the orient and to find precious gems and metals. We had also learned about a man named Samuel de Champlain was a navigator who had helped the settlers in New France by helping settlers have New France fell like home. I also learned that life in New France was extremely difficult. My Opinion: Are you trying to bore me to death? I Can honestly say this while im drinking my coffee right now cause im gonna... *falls asleep* 4/10!! Sloppy Work Alex!
One thing that stuck out in my mind about New France was life in New France. When we were studying life in New France I thought life was extremely difficult. Some children couldn’t go to school because their parents couldn’t have their children spend time at school instead children had to stay home and help with chores.
To Recap: Ezzie and Emmy are tied for first and Alex is currently in second place with 4/10. Sloppy Work Alex! haha.
PT. 2 Comming Tomorrow!!!
